Thermocouples are widely used temperature sensors known for their versatility, durability, and wide temperature range. Thermocouples consist of two dissimilar metal wires joined at one end to create a junction known as the measuring junction. The principle behind thermocouples is the Seebeck effect, where a temperature difference between the measuring junction and the other ends of the wires (called the reference junction) generates a voltage. This voltage is directly proportional to the temperature difference between the two junctions. By measuring this voltage, the temperature at the measuring junction can be determined.
K/J/E types ONLY 2 wires, PT100/PT1000 are 3 wires, 2 wires, 4 wires, 6 wires are optional.
